The Position:
AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Manager, Closing & Funding who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. The Manager, Closing & Funding will:
  • Manage, coach, and train all levels of Closing, Funding, Delivery, and Construction areas.
  • Assist in implementing new procedures designed to improve quality and efficiency of mortgage closing, funding, delivery, and construction activities.
  • Monitor and effectively counsel staff in the performance of loan fulfilment tasks.
  • Ensure staff are providing exceptional quality service to members, member teammates, and vendor/ partners.
  • Monitor team progress to reach and consistently close, fund, and deliver mortgage loan accounts within service level standards.
What you will do:
As a Manager, Closing & Funding your primary responsibilities will include:
  1. Oversee the preparation and review of all closing documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  2. Develop loan post closers to ensure accurate and timely purchase and/or securitization of all funded loans by investors and the handling and daily management of any related suspense items or conditions; ensure loans are correctly allocated, delivered, reviewed, and cleared with investors service levels, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and internal compliance policies and procedures.
  3. Assist Accounting by providing tracking reports and reconciliation of post funding transactions.
  4. Work with AVP, Mortgage Operations to meet loan operational standards by monitoring production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards; resolving problems; identifying and recommending mortgage loan system improvements.
  5. Adhere to all applicable compliance regulations and provide direction to fix discrepancies as needed, review accuracy of loan data, documents, and fees.
  6. Promotes and drives continuous development of all aspects of Construction Administration including process implementation, change management, administration and oversight of strategies to optimize functional performance and mitigate risk to the Credit Union.
  7. Ensure the Credit Union’s mission, vision and values are instilled in the team members and further ensures our MVP 1-Team culture is supported and promoted within the department and the organization.
