The Opportunity
The Credit Analyst II plays a key role in supporting sound credit decision-making by performing in-depth financial analysis of commercial borrowers and contributing to portfolio risk management. This position partners closely with Credit, Lending, Risk, and IT teams to enhance credit tools, analytics, and processes while ensuring alignment with organizational risk appetite and regulatory expectations.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Credit Analysis

  • Perform financial analysis of commercial borrowers, including cash flow, trend analysis, and risk assessment
  • Complete timely annual credit reviews and prepare clear, supported credit recommendations

Underwriting & Credit Risk Support

  • Support sound credit decision-making in alignment with lending policies, risk appetite, and regulatory guidance
  • Provide analytical support for complex or higher-risk credit relationships, including secondary reviews as needed

Credit Tools & Systems

  • Utilize and support commercial credit underwriting and financial spreading systems
  • Assist with system testing, enhancements, and process improvements to increase efficiency and consistency

Portfolio Analytics & Reporting

  • Develop and maintain portfolio monitoring reports and dashboards
  • Analyze trends related to risk ratings, concentrations, covenant compliance, and exceptions
  • Support stress testing, scenario analysis, and portfolio-level risk assessments

Data Integrity & Compliance

  • Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of credit and portfolio data
  • Assist with portfolio reviews, audits, and regulatory examinations

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

  • Partner with Credit, Commercial Lending, Risk, and IT teams to improve credit processes and controls
  • Contribute to documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
