Assured Information Security (AIS) has an opening for a DevOps Engineer. This onsite position can be based out of Rome, NY or Catonsville, MD and requires an active Top Secret clearance. This position will provide direct support to engineering platforms and microservices used to develop critical applications leveraged across multiple DoD customers.

What You'll Do:

Develop infrastructure, task automation, provision managed services, and leverage Python, Ansible, and Terraform programming languages.
Install, configure, and provide performance support for Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud metrics collection tools.
Manage CI/CD pipelines to automate building, testing, and deploying code utilizing GitLab.
Manage commercial cloud computing platforms (Azure and AWS).
Communicate and collaborate effectively with other team members, as well as with stakeholders.
Collaborate with other software and test teams to integrate capabilities.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in cybersecurity threats and offensive capabilities and contribute to internal research and development efforts.

Education/Experience/Skillset Required:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Cyber Security, or related field and 5 years’ experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) experience.
Strong Git skills for version control (e.g., merge requests, pull requests, pushes), and a solid understanding of DevSecOps principles and the secure Software Development Lifecycle (SDL).
Proficient in Python with a deep understanding of web services.
Deploying and managing containerized applications in Kubernetes clusters and custom manifests.
Experience with:
- Configuring and managing Linux operating systems
- Experience with virtualization platforms (e.g., KVM, ProxMox, VSphere)
- Experience with secure software development practices
- Ability to understand and describe highly technical software systems
- Knowledge of DoD environment, systems, and applications
- Investigating and resolving technical issues
- Automated infrastructure provisioning and CI/CD pipelines using Terraform, Ansible, Jira, Confluence, and GitLab CI
- Designing and implementing scalable, fault-tolerant solutions using Azure services including Virtual Machines (VMs), Azure Container Apps, Blob Storage, and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.

Clearance Required: Active Top Secret

Travel: Up to 10%

US Salary Range: $101,655 - $141,000

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on several factors including location, skills, and experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package which includes employer paid health insurance and a 7% contribution to your 401k, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation.
