At Danfoss Climate Solutions, we help shape the future of sustainable and energy-efficient buildings. As a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) - Residential Housing, you will build and develop strategic relationships with housing companies, developers, investors, and general contractors, helping them achieve their decarbonization and energy efficiency ambitions.
This role sits at the intersection of business growth, customer value, and sustainability. By identifying opportunities early and positioning Danfoss solutions in key projects, you will directly influence long-term partnerships, market growth, and the energy performance of residential buildings across the region.
Working from your home office and covering North Rhine-Westphalia, you will act as a trusted advisor to customers, drive project opportunities from specification through implementation, and strengthen Danfoss' position within the residential housing market.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Develop and grow strategic relationships with housing associations, residential developers, investors, general contractors, and other key stakeholders across the residential building ecosystem.
- Identify and develop new business opportunities, influence projects from the planning stage, and drive sustainable revenue growth through strategic account management and consultative selling.
- Collaborate closely with internal sales, engineering, and marketing teams to deliver customer-focused solutions and successful project outcomes.
- Negotiate commercial agreements, manage account plans and sales pipelines, and provide market insights that support business growth and strategy execution.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in Key Account Management, Sales, or Business Development within HVAC, building technology, energy solutions, district heating, or a related technical industry.
- Strong understanding of the residential housing sector and experience working with housing companies, property owners, developers, investors, or general contractors.
- Ability to build trusted customer relationships, manage complex sales cycles, and successfully engage multiple decision-makers and stakeholders.
- Commercially driven, proactive, and structured, with strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Fluent German and good English skills, enabling effective collaboration in an international environment.
- Passion for sustainable building technologies and creating long-term value for customers.
