POSITION SUMMARY
The Project Implementation Specialist I supports the successful execution of organizational projects involving new systems, services and process changes. This role partners closely with project teams, subject matter experts, and operational leaders to support implementation readiness, adoption and consistent execution before, during and after go-live. The Project Implementation Specialist I focuses on coordination, documentation, testing support and change readiness activities, partnering with Training and Development, to help ensure projects are implemented efficiently, align with operational workflows, and meet organizational standards.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Supports assigned projects including system implementations, vendor conversions and upgrades, process changes, and product rollouts.
- Participates in project meetings to understand scope, timelines, dependencies, risks, and implementation requirements.
- Collaborates with the Project Manager, departmental leaders, subject matter experts, and project teams to support implementation planning and execution.
- Assists with project documentation such as procedures, job aids, workflows, implementation checklists, and reference materials.
- Leads project meetings and facilitates discussions in the absence of the Project Manager to support continuity, decision making, and progress toward project milestones.
- Supports change readiness efforts by reinforcing key project messages, addressing basic implementation questions, and identifying areas requiring additional support or follow‑up.
- Assists with pilot testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT) in support of project objectives.
- Helps coordinate and track implementation tasks, milestones, and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
- Ensures new processes and systems align with operational workflows, member experience expectations, and standards established by compliance and risk management.
- Collaborates with Training and Development to support effective end-user adoption
- Maintains project‑related documentation and resources within designated platforms
- Ensures implementation materials and documentation remain current as systems or processes evolve.
- Supports logistical coordination related to project activities as needed.
- Assists with tracking implementation completion, issues, and outcomes.
- Required to participate in First Source Federal Credit Union events as well as designated community events.
- Required to attend or participate in necessary compliance training, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy, OFAC, and Privacy.
- Required to attend training sessions as appropriate for job responsibilities.
- Required to travel as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- High School plus 3+ years related experience OR related business degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation and public speaking
- Ability to translate complex systems or process changes
- Proven skills as consensus builder/team orientation
- Demonstrates strong organizational abilities and effectively meets deadlines
- High level of comfort working in an environment with frequent change
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong knowledge of various computer software programs
