JOB SUMMARY: The Tooling Manager is responsible for leadership and oversight of the tooling department.
ESSSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Oversee the day-to-day activities of the Tooling Department, including analysis, quoting, design, ordering materials, production, implementation and maintenance
• Use engineering expertise and experience to lead the development and introduction of new tooling technology to improve processes, increase capacity and/or capitalize on new business opportunities
• Manage the availability of resources, including staffing and materials, and ensure quality work is delivered on time
• Demonstrate effective leadership and management skills to hire, promote, discipline, transfer, and terminate department staff
• Assess abilities of staff, ensure appropriate training, determine competency, maintain training records and monitor their development
• Collaborate with, coach and guide Manufacturing Engineering and Production departments on design and use of tooling
• Represent the Tooling Department in audit matters
• Represent the Tooling Department in matters involving quality
• Define, gather and analyze metrics that measure and track department performance, and produce department performance reports for senior management
• Observe, monitor and ensure compliance with all safety requirements and practices
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field, Mechanical Engineering preferred
• 6 years professional experience in a related position
• Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills
• Direct customer contact, sales engineering experience helpful
• Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products and services
• Ability to apply basic Engineering principles (Tolerance Analysis, GD&T, Statistical Quality Control, Lean, etc.)
• Experience leading multidisciplinary project teams.
• Experience estimating requirements for cost, timing, headcount, equipment, etc.
• Ability to fabricate designs using typical machine shop tools such as Lathes, Mills, Grinders, etc.

WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$72,000 - $116,000 annually
