JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Production Supervisor is responsible for providing administrative and operational support to the Virtual Factory Manager, Senior Virtual Factory Manager, or Plant Manager and for performing delegated plant management activities. The Senior Production Supervisor is also responsible for performing the job functions of a Production Supervisor as and where assigned and serves as an information resource and guide to less-experienced Production Supervisors.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Plan and schedule activities within the area of supervision in collaboration with other departments
• Execute administrative and operational activities as delegated or assigned by plant management
• Maintain functional knowledge of processes throughout a facility and coordinate resources as needed to ensure jobs are completed on time and in accordance with quality requirements
• Supervise a production department as assigned, executing all job functions of a Production Supervisor
• Observe, monitor, and ensure compliance with all safety requirements and practices, including taking action to stop production if safety is compromised
• Interact effectively with Indium Corporation colleagues, suppliers, customers, and auditors
• Access computer systems to complete all required documentation to track work, record scrap, and maintain accurate records of completed parts and required inventory
• Apply Lean manufacturing principles and promote continuous improvement in productivity and the elimination of waste
• Perform workforce management staffing duties and oversee workload of staff to ensure accurate and timely completion of assignments
• Assess Production Operator abilities, ensure appropriate training, determine competency, maintain training records, and monitor Production Operator development
• Uphold all policies and procedures and resolve conflict
• Review and approve time management records
• Develop and maintain spreadsheets containing operational data and be well-versed in interpreting and presenting key performance metrics based on that data
• Uphold and promote the standards of Indium Corporation’s Quality Management System, including following procedures and work instructions, and recommending improvements
• Attend training as needed or assigned
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and 4 years related work experience or prior experience as an Indium Corporation Production Group Leader
• Associate degree preferred
• Knowledge of manufacturing concepts such as planning, scheduling, inventory management, workflow, and basic Lean concepts
• Demonstrated broad and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills
• Capable of managing multiple objectives to completion
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Competency in the use of Microsoft Excel to organize and manage data and communicate information
• Competency in the use of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for manufacturing planning, management and execution; Material Requirements Planning (MRP) experience is preferred
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

$30.75 per hour - $48.38 per hour
($63,960 - $100,630 annually)
