JOB SUMMARY: The Analytical Laboratory Technician III is responsible for conducting chemical analysis of incoming samples for their elemental concentrations according to established procedures and regulations, ensuring quality standards are met and maintained.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Log and distribute incoming samples of materials
• Conduct analyses of complex samples
• Apply subject matter knowledge and experience to perform work under minimal supervision
• Prepare laboratory standards
• Assist Laboratory Supervisor in acquiring data from all sources and identifying, analyzing, and reporting accurate information
• Engage in the development of analytical methods
• Maintain a clean, uncluttered work area and assist in the overall organization of the laboratories
• Attend all required safety training and follow all safety procedures and policies
• Train less experienced coworkers
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• A high school diploma or a general education degree (GED) is required
• A bachelor’s degree in chemistry or science is preferred
• 3 years of related work experience is required; 5 years of related work experience is preferred
• Knowledge of safe handling of chemicals and laboratory equipment is required
• Knowledge of spectroscopic instrumentation and experience with wet chemistry techniques is a plus
• Good oral and written communication with the ability to understand and follow both verbal and written instructions
• Strong math, computer, and organizational skills
• Demonstrated mentoring and leadership qualities with the ability to train others
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities
SHIFT/SITE:
Monday-Friday/ 1st shift: 7:00 am-3:30 pm/ 1676 Lincoln Ave, Utica, NY
WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill, and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

($41,500 - $56,000 annually)
