JOB SUMMARY: The Senior Talent Specialist (STS) works to successfully recruit teammates to join Indium Corporation. By utilizing and maintaining the online recruitment system, the STS is able to successfully screen applicants and manage the application process. Additionally, the STS will assist the supervisor to successfully build pipelines of talent, including recruitment of exempt and non-exempt candidates as well as managing the internal and external application process. The STS is expected to implement best practices around recruitment and retention and will be responsible for training others on those practices regularly, to ensure that Indium Corporation upholds its commitment to hiring a talented and diverse workforce. Through those best practices, the STS will work with each plant to maintain equitable hiring practices. The STS will work with Human Resource Business Partners (HRBP) to align open positions with position control as necessary. This position requires thorough knowledge of department and corporate-wide operations and policies. The STS may exercise some independent judgement in the absence of the supervisor or established procedures and will always use discretion in the dissemination of information.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Works collaboratively with hiring managers in the development of recruitment strategies
• Ensures staffing process are based on best practices, equitable, and in alignment with current and future workforce needs
• Effectively manage the Indium Corporation annual staffing plan, with the support of the supervisor role.
• Screen resumes to determine minimum qualifications prior to sending to hiring parties and manage the hiring process from the initial requisition posting through the entry of paperwork into the payroll system
• Support company initiatives through leadership of hiring programs designed to recruit and retain a diverse workforce and respond to ongoing specific and general inquiries regarding employment opportunities.
• Promotes and helps to coordinate special employment program through partners (internship programs, school outreach, apprenticeship programs, veterans, etc.)
• Assists the supervisor in setting strategic department goals by working collaboratively on initiatives to improve hiring process and outcomes
• Engages candidate pool through numerous social networking sites such as LinkedIn and assess the effectiveness of social media options
• Establishes and maintains contact with a variety of potential applicant resources, including government agencies, staffing agencies, school career centers, and related organizations while continually looking for new opportunities for networking
• Maintains compliance with all pertinent federal and state laws and regulations as applicable to the recruitment/hiring process
• Assists in and coordinates job fairs for recruitment needs
• Act as a brand and cultural ambassador both internally and externally, and maintain professional collaborative relationships with external partners
• Train fellow employees on Indium Corporation recruitment best practices and policies
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business, communications, or related field
• 5 years of recruitment experience
• PHR, SHRM-CP preferred
• ADP Workforce Now experience strongly preferred
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to perform under pressure with accuracy and timeliness
• Ability to develop an understanding of Indium Corporation products and services
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities
WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$62,500 - $78,000 annually
