JOB SUMMARY: The Production Operator Trainee is an entry-level position designed to prepare the trainee for successful progression into a Production Operator I role. In this position, the Production Operator Trainee will train under the production team to learn how to perform the necessary duties to perform an Operator I level role successfully. All work is directed and performed under close supervision.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):
• Observe all safety and security requirements
• Work with the trainer to learn how to operate machines and other equipment for product processing, which may include any of the following: assembly, chemical additions, extrusion, and packaging functions
• May work with various metals to melt and create casts and may also work with different chemicals to fabricate final products
• Follow written procedures and work instructions with assistance
• Read and interpret drawings and diagrams with assistance
• Learn how to complete required documentation to track work, record scrap, and maintain the accuracy of completed parts and inventory
• Uphold the standards necessary to maintain our business certifications and to maintain good quality standards and practices associated with them
• Attend training as needed or assigned
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be 18 years of age
• Good oral and written communication skills; English proficiency desired
• Basic math skills and computer literacy
• Basic organizational skills
• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

Clinton, NY -- 1st Shift - Days, 2nd Shift - Evenings, 3rd Shift - Overnights
Rome, NY -- 1st Shift - Days, 2nd Shift - Evenings, 3rd Shift - Overnights, Shift B (6 pm - 6 am)
Utica Business Park, NY -- 1st Shift - Days, 2nd Shift - Evenings, 3rd Shift - Overnights
WAGE DISCLOSURE:
The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.
The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package. Other components include health, dental, and vision insurance, PTO, retirement plan, volunteer opportunities, paid holidays, overtime opportunities, and many more.
$16.50 per hour - $20.00 per hour
($34,000 - $41,600 annually)
