JOB SUMMARY: The Co-op Student - Government Affairs & Program Development is responsible for performing project work under the direction of the Head of Government Affairs & Program Development. The position supports research, communications, project coordination, and organizational systems that strengthen Government Affairs & Program Development across Indium Corporation.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

• Conduct research, coordinate projects, prepare communications, and support Government Affairs activities

• Develop and maintain organizational systems, document repositories, relationship management tools, executive reporting, and performance metrics

• Support Government Affairs initiatives spanning multiple business functions across Indium Corporation; collaborate, as appropriate, with Finance, Strategic Programs & Government Compliance, Operations, Human Resources, Legal, Marketing & Communications, Engineering, Research & Development, and external stakeholders

• Research government funding opportunities and develop and maintain an inventory of prospective, pending, and awarded funding projects to support proposal development, project coordination, and strategic initiatives

• Monitor legislation, regulations, government programs, and public policy affecting Indium Corporation

• Prepare executive briefing materials, presentations, policy summaries, and background research

• Research international government policies, funding opportunities, and strategic partnerships

• Monitor developments affecting critical minerals, semiconductors, advanced manufacturing, trade, and supply chain resilience

• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current undergraduate student pursuing a bachelor’s degree in political science, public policy, government, international relations, history, economics, communications, business, legal studies, or a related field

• Demonstrated interest in government affairs, public policy, or economic development preferred

• Strong research, writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills required

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, AI productivity tools, and particularly Excel and PowerPoint is required; experience with CRM platforms, SharePoint, Power BI, dashboards, metrics, or KPI reporting is desirable

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple priorities, and exercise sound judgment

• This is a 13-week co-op assignment. While the position is generally expected to be full-time, scheduled hours may vary based on business needs and may include periods of part-time work

• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

WAGE DISCLOSURE:

The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

$17.00 per hour - $23.00 per hour
