The Program Coordinator is a dynamic, mission-driven role that advances the work of the Kennedy Willis Center, furthering its mission to champion the rights of people with Down syndrome and other intellectual disabilities, through hand-on program coordination, compelling communications and advocacy, case management, and meaningful community engagement. Working within a prestigious center that is nationally recognized for its innovation, this position helps amplify high-impact initiatives and translate big ideas into practical, person-centered outcomes.This role plays an active part in marketing and written communications, supporting event promotions and fresh website content, while helping drive grant research and submission efforts. The program coordinator cultivates and sustains key partnerships with academic, healthcare, and community organizations, and provides essential administrative support to keep the Center's cutting-edge initiatives moving forward. The role also includes facilitating Pathfinder Village's self-advocacy group, Council Rock.Qualifications: BA/BS degree in human services or similar field required (QIDP eligible); One to two years' experience working with people with I/DD preferred; Excellent verbal and written communication is required; Proficiency or knowledge of using a variety of computer software applications, especially Microsoft programs; Occasional travel is required; Must have a valid NYS driver's license with no restrictions.Rate of pay starts at $20 an hour and is commensurate with experience.
