Position Summary:
The Practice Manager is responsible to ensure implementation of licensed clinic models that provide high quality care for individuals with developmental disabilities; including reimbursement and financial modeling, licensure process, staffing structure and compliance planning. The Practice Manager will manage daily clinic operations, ensure maximum efficiency and partner with organizational leaders to optimize utilization and billing.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Practice Manager is the leader of the clinic responsible for administrative planning, and support of providers including facilitating delivery of all clinical services.
- The PM is responsible for coordinating clinical activities that support policies, goals, and objectives established by the organization, including adherence with applicable regulations set forth by the Office for People with Developmental Disabilities, the Department of Health and CMS.
- The PM is responsible for establishing and tracking key metrics, developing policies and procedures that outline how clinic services are delivered and how outcomes are evaluated.
- Ensure that coordination and quality of care is expanded to other clinical entities, thus assuring efficient and effective coordination and delivery of care services.
- The Practice Manager also serves as a leader to the clinic staff providing guidance in best practice.
- Ensure effective communication. Build and leverage cross functional collaborative relationships to achieve shared company goals.
- Maintain an understanding of best practice of emerging models in wellness; identify and define new and innovative strategies to achieve health related business goals and objectives.
- Promote collaboration to both internal and external healthcare team members.
- This position works in close collaboration with leadership to establish community linkages for health improvement and agency strength.
- Participate with organizational leaders from executive, management, medical staff, and directors in planning, promoting, and conducting agency wide quality assessment and performance improvement activities.
- Consistently audit clinic(s) to meet established operational and safety standards.
- Maximize process and performance efficiencies, reduce operational costs, increase accuracy, and improve reimbursement outcomes.
- Provide support and process leadership for Revenue Cycle billing, Accounts Receivable Aging, and payment posting.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human services or other related field is required.
- Progressive leadership experience.
- Excellent communication skills and evidence of collaborative practice.
- History of successful clinical and project outcome.
- Expertise in healthcare delivery systems and performance improvement.
- Knowledge of state and regulatory standards is required.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
- Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
