Position Summary:
Assist the Director in supervising and coordinating the day to day operation of the residential school program.
To protect the safety of the individuals we support and staff, Springbrook requires new employees to be current on all recommended vaccinations, including but not limited to: COVID-19.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist Director with all aspects of oversight including but not limited to:
- Training, support, performance reviews and corrective action for staff
- Site checks and audits
- Ensuring adherence to all regulations related to fire safety including physical plant, fire drills, documentation, E-scores, and training of staff and students
- Incident reporting and management
- Scheduling and employee time keeping across the program
- Financial management procedures (approving expenditures, managing budget and supplies, etc.)
- Physical plant safety and maintenance
- Medical appointments/issues of students
- Effectively communicating with parents, staff, and outside parties as needed
- Approving documentation such as RIA forms, outing requests, etc.
- Leadership/manager training
- Participate in on call rotation with program managers and perform duties of program managers
- Participate in screenings and tours
- In collaboration with clinical coordinator, assist with developing, reviewing, and/or approving IPOPs, service plans and residential goals and ensure program adherence to ABA principles
- Ensure overlap between IEP and residential based service plans as well as general consistency across all aspects of the program
- Participate in recruitment and training of new and existing employees
- Participate in agency and departmental events (occasional nights or weekends required)
- Assist with all aspects of student life including health and safety, benefits and age out process, skill acquisition, family relationships and leisure
- Assume leadership role in the absence of Director
- Fulfill all other duties as assigned by Director/Administration
Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 3 (three) years supervisory experience required.
- Master’s preferred.
- The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis, experience in a residential program and excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule.
- Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
- Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
- Be able to perform all physical interventions.
