Position Summary:

Coordinates and executes all aspects of vehicle management and administrative duties associated with operation, repair, and maintenance of Springbrook vehicles. Serves as a member of the Fleet Planning Group that coordinates all the budgetary planning, program allocation and strategy for Springbrook vehicles, in addition to developing and implementing a strategy for migration to renewable energy transportation options.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Plans, directs, and coordinates the operation of vehicle maintenance and repair programs for Springbrook owned vehicles.
  • Reviews purchase requests for new and replacement vehicles.
  • Plans and administers a preventive maintenance and vehicular replacement program for Springbrook owned vehicles.
  • Receives and processes vehicle accident and damage reports.
  • Prepares cost analysis and periodic management and operational reports.
  • Develop and administer a recurring training course instructing safe vehicle operation for Springbrook staff.
  • Manage shop equipment, tooling, and supply inventories.
  • Maintain fleet compliance with NYS DOT and DMV requirements.
  • Supervise and manage direct report staff as assigned.
  • Actively participate in Springbrook vehicle repair and maintenance as needed.
  • Respond to on-call vehicle related emergencies as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:

  • High school or GED required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification.
  • Thorough knowledge of vehicle management and operations.
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of vehicular maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of the principles of organization and administration.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Springbrook employees and the general public.
  • Good ability to maintain records.
  • Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
  • Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
