Position Summary: Supervises educational and clinical aspects of programming for children in a NY Chapter 853 residential school program. This includes observing and analyzing learning behaviors, evaluating progress, case review, coordinating activities, and recommending program modifications. The clinical coordinator will also provide staff training, supervision and feedback to staff and administrative support to the leadership team.Primary Duties and Responsibilities: • Recommend evidence-based methods of assessment and instruction • Supervise staff members as assigned (monthly COUNT meeting, approve timesheets, provide corrective action and training, etc.)• Coordinate and schedule student program reviews in collaboration with CSE chair and lead teacher/s; ensure appropriate documentation and follow through• Manage projects and outcomes based on Dept. initiatives and goals• Participate in screenings of new students when needed to determine appropriateness of referral • Conduct site checks for quality assurance and programmatic compliance• Ensure carryover and consistency of student programming across settings (home and school)• Assess and improve staff competencies, service plan implementation and knowledge base using Behavior Skills Training methods• Support leadership team in applicable administrative functions and initiatives • Support student acquisition of IEP and BSP goals• Adhere to all applicable agency policies, oversight regulations and ethical guidelines• All other duties as assigned by supervisorQualifications, Skills and Knowledge Requirements: • Bachelor’s required. Master’s and NYS licensure/certification in related field preferred • Supervisory experience required• Experience working with students with developmental disabilities preferred• Professional verbal and written communication skills• Ability to design appropriate data collection systems and collect, aggregate, interpret, and communicate results• Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.• Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required • Be able to perform all physical interventions
