SUNY Oneonta is seeking creative, innovative Residence Hall Director(s) to join us in providing a supportive, safe, educational, and engaging residence hall experience for students. Reporting to a member of our leadership team, successful candidates will have a passion to help students succeed in pursuing their university education. Strong administrative skills, an interest in working in a high-impact unit of student affairs, and a work philosophy that knows the importance of developing an inclusive community where sense of belonging is nurtured are expectations of staff. This is a 10-month position which starts at the end of July.
The Office of Campus Housing and Residence Life is under the Residential Experience and Housing Department, which also houses offices of Move-In, Orientation and Welcome; as well as the Office of Off Campus and Commuter Students. Our office works closely with many other areas of The University through committee work, collaboration, and resource sharing. We have residence hall special interest housing in areas of Wilderness, Wellness, Gaming, Quiet Study, Transfer Living, First Year Experience and LGBTQIA+.
