The Employment Manager is responsible for tasks and activities related to quality assurance, billing, new staff training, reporting, and other duties as assigned.
Activities include but are not limited to the following:
Maintain a modified caseload.
Daily supervision and support and monitoring of the Employment team in applying principles of individualized services, positive support for people in all employment plan development and regular interactions with individuals, families, and teams.
Billing: ACCES-VR, OPWDD (SEMP, Pathway to Employment, Employment Training Program, Community based pre-vocational services, etc.).
Intake and referral.
Creation/implementation/oversight of Job Development database.
Screening and assessment completion of intake/screening; complete discovery phase; vocational goal planning. Each plan must be developed based upon the unique needs and circumstances of each individual and reviewed/updated every 6 months. For OPWDD participants, the plans must be written in the format of the Life Plan and require attendance and participation at Life Plan meetings. Provide soft and hard skill training and assessment via the Employment Center, classroom and/or community-based experiences.
Job development/placement: Develop and maintain positive, professional relationships with local businesses to build a strong base of potential employers. Develop and maintain an effective communication with program participants, families, referents and treatment team providers. Provide job placement services such as career counseling, assistance with applications, interview skill building and presentation of work incentives.
Job coaching: Skill training, training is soft skills such as effective communication, problem-solving skills, work ethic, grooming/hygiene, response to supervision, etc. Coaching services are usually at the worksite, occasionally provided off-site.
Retention/follow-along services: Provide ongoing advocacy and support to ensure long-term job retention and to facilitate career growth.
Documentation: Provide accurate, detailed, and timely documentation of supports. Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards. Responsible to complete periodic peer reviews of program participant records.

Establish a work environment that creates positive communication between supervisors and employees and assimilates new employees to Kelberman’s culture, values and mission.
Participate in activities as part of the team that may include meetings, trainings, and committees.
May be assigned additional duties as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in a related field required; BA/BS in Human Services or related field preferred.
Minimum 3-years’ experience in employment services.
Must have working knowledge of community resources available in the community and ability to complete necessary documentation accurately and thoroughly.
Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License travel is required.
This position has regular and substantial unsupervised and unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities).
WORK ENVIRONMENT/HAZARDS
The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Minimal risk of chemicals used in cleaning. Job related tasks do not involve exposure to blood, body fluids, tissue or the potential for skin or mucous membrane contact from spills or splashes of these substances. May have exposure to unpredictable individuals and situations when working at Kelberman sites. OSHA Exposure Category II.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL DEMANDS
Certain deadlines and unanticipated developments may require work during evenings, weekends.
Ability to quickly address any emergent issues without losing focus on task at hand.
The employee must have full sight and hearing with fluency in the English language. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
Ability to lift and/or assist individuals in your care and ability to meet the physical requirements of the specific job
Frequently is required to stand, walk and sit. Must be able to sit for long periods of time.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery (i.e. copier, scanner, computer printer, etc.)
Ability to handle stressful and unpredictable situations.
