The Kelberman Center
The Maintenance/Grounds Keeper is responsible for maintaining, repairs, and troubleshooting facility systems and components. This role includes painting, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and masonry work. This role ensures that the environment is safe, functional, and welcoming for residents, staff, and visitors. The Maintenance/Grounds Keeper completes and maintains work requests as assigned. The Maintenance/ Grounds Keeper person will work to create a pleasant and functional environment for residents and visitors at our 3 IRAs.
This position has a flexible schedule up to 20 hours per week.
Must live in Onondaga County
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
· 1-2 years supervised experience in plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical, and/or masonry work.
· Valid New York State Driver's License that meets the Agency's driving policy.
· Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks on various systems and equipment.
· Familiarity with safety procedures and regulations.
· Good organizational and time management skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
· Ability to operate groundskeeping and maintenance equipment safely.
