The Kelberman Center
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for overseeing aquatics safety, inventory, pool and restroom maintenance, completing records and reports, and providing aquatics orientation and evaluation. This position is required to understand emergency procedures and participate in Center activities all while ensuring that appropriate water health and safety standards are maintained.

· High school Diploma or GED. Associates preferred.
· Minimum of 1 years of lifeguard or Aquatics Director experience preferred.
· American Red Cross CPR Certification renewed or earned within last 12 months.
· Current Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification.
· Current lifeguard certification.
· Current American Red Cross first-aid certification.
· Must have strong organizational and administrative skills.
· Must have a valid New York State Driver’s License travel is required.
· Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances are warranted.
· This position does have regular and substantial unsupervised or unrestricted physical contact with individuals receiving services and is required by law to be fingerprinted for a criminal history record check under OPWDD (Office for People with Developmental Disabilities) or OMH (Office of Mental Health).
· Complies with quality assurance, OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, safety and other policies set forth.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
