The Role

Wolfspeed NI are looking for a Service Now Platform Engineer to join our Technology Support & Services team. You will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the ServiceNow platform and developing and implementing solutions to meet the needs of the organization. In this role, you will work closely with Technology Support & Services Lead to manage and deliver efficient and scalable solutions to requirements from all areas of the business. The successful candidate will play a key role in helping Wolfspeed realizing the true potential and value of the ServiceNow platform by streamlining workflow, automating, integrating and providing excellent user experience.

In this critical role, the successful candidate will be an experienced individual with a strong background in ITSM, ITOM and Self Service Portal. Your primary focus will be managing the development backlog and day to day platform maintenance and support. Your goal will be to deliver exceptional and efficient solutions whilst adhering to ServiceNow best practice and out of the box functionality where possible.

What does your day-to-day look like?

  • Design/Build or configure technical solutions based on user stories & requirements. Working closely with the requestors to ensure requirements are fully understood and documented.
  • Manage development backlog and deliver solutions using Agile software development processes. Take care of end to end development activities for a specific enhancement, defect or project as an individual contributor
  • Customization or development of enhancement requests for existing ITSM/ITOM tools and processes (Discovery, Self Service Portal, Employee Center, Virtual Agent, Digital Portfolio Management)
  • Maintain ServiceNow platform according to best practice making sure performance and responsiveness is continually tuned and optimized. Working closely with Technology Support & Services Lead to plan and coordinate annual upgrades
  • Produce design documents wherever complex solutions or customizations are necessary
  • Provide proof of concept examples and options in order to deliver the best possible solution to customers/stake holders.

Must Have

  • 2+ years of experience working in a similar ServiceNow developer role
  • Experience with development and implementation of ServiceNow ITSM / ITOM modules - Incident Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management
  • ServiceNow system administrator certificate
  • Experience with Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, Scheduled Jobs - all scripted aspects of the ServiceNow system
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and server-side Javascript and ServiceNow APIs
  • Scripted Web-Services, AJAX, Business Rules, JavaScript, SOAP, REST SSO-SAML Setup and Integration of ServiceNow to Other Applications (Active Directory, Workday, Snowflake)
  • Understanding of ServiceNow CSDM 4.0 model and concepts
  • Demonstrates ability to multi-task and re-prioritize responsibilities based on changing requirements (such as urgent customer problems)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Display self-motivation, a sense of ownership, and the flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing conditions and priorities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Nice to have

  • ITIL v3 / 4
  • Customizing ServiceNow using UI Pages and Workspaces, UI Macro & CMS using CSS, HTML, Jelly.
