Here’s the Gist:
The Materials Handler performs the physical and administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, distributing and order fulfillment of merchandise, products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. The ideal candidate will be a team player, a self-starter, and physically able to lift heavy items and/or operate a forklift.
The Day-to-Day:
- Determine supply shortages at point of use, and other locations downstream of the main Warehouses, located throughout the Factories and ensure those are replenished in a safe and timely manner
- Maintain electronic to physical inventory integrity by completing data entry in an organized and accurate fashion
- Provide exceptional Customer Service to our internal customers by responding to calls with courtesy and urgency
- Safely store and deliver Chemicals and Solvents including Hazardous Materials
- Ensure Hazardous Waste receptacles located about the manufacturing areas are kept cleared, following proper safety and handling procedures
- Complete and maintain all required Company Training and Certifications on time
- Ensure safe, accurate and secure handling of Precious Metals by adhering to all related Company Policies and established practices
- Ensure consistent coverage by maintaining excellent attendance and supporting the departments occasional overtime requirements
- Safely operate a company vehicle
- Careful handling of company product and related data entry to accurately track its movement
- Safely operate material handling equipment including a Forklift
- Contribute to maintaining accurate Inventory, including participating in Cycle Counting processes
- Help to meet any other demands related to Materials & Supplies
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Available to work a 12 hour day shift (6am-6pm
- Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Self-starter with strong personal work ethic
- Intermediate computer skills
- Must be able to pass a Background Check that includes a “Soft Credit Pull.”
- The successful candidate must be self-directed and able to work efficiently with minimal supervision
- A verifiable work history that displays a high level of stability
Desired Skills / Achievements:
- Prior Material Handling or Warehouse experience
- Experience using MS Office applications (primarily Outlook, Excel and Word)
- Prior experience working in a 24x7 Manufacturing environment
- Semiconductor/ Wafer Fab experience is a plus
- Current Wolfspeed Employee will be considered a major plus
- Experience using, or familiarity with an ERP system, preferably Oracle
- Experience using, or familiarity with MES systems, preferably Wolfspeed’s internal systems
