Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed IT is seeking an enthusiastic and hands-on professional with exceptional organizational, leadership, problem solving, and project management skills to join our growing team as an IT Site Lead in Siler City, North Carolina. You will play a key role in the design, setup, and implementation of solutions in Wolfspeed’s new 200mm Silicon Carbide Wafer Manufacturing Center. This Sr. Manager will be the face of IT and will lead Operations at the North Carolina 200mm factory ensuring operational performance and service levels are met or exceeded. This candidate will be responsible for enabling and supporting the Global Operations and be accountable to deliver services at North Carolina but keep the global view in mind.
The Day-to-Day:
Serve as an IT subject matter expert for Global Operations Materials team and assist business leaders in making right technology decisions.
Impact and shape the startup and ramp to volume production of Wolfspeed’s new 200mm Wafer Manufacturing Center based on your ideas, experience, and strength in developing and
implementing an innovative and robust MES (MANUFACTURING EXECUTION SYSTEM) and APC (Advance Process Control) solution.
Be a trusted partner for manufacturing technologies and provide guidance in business case development and determining ROI for new projects that require IT support.
Partner with business stakeholders to create “blueprints” for services that align with overall objectives and manage projects & priorities to budget and schedule as defined.
Resolve performance and capacity issues when conflicts arise while implementing vision/policies for Change Management, Production Control, and Testing/Review procedures.
Drive critical projects like Digital Transformation, Factory (expansion) while working closely with Architects, DevOps team, tool integration team to ensure timely delivery of the capabilities
Provide strong partnership with distinct groups within IT including Infrastructure, Service Desk, Network, Information Security, and interact and integrate with all supporting groups like equipment and process engineering, manufacturing operations, industrial engineering, automation, and facilities.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, information systems, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Experience with running operations or application development within Semiconductor Manufacturing.
7-10 years of overall IT experience and a record of success supporting a fast-paced business organization, providing technical expertise while applying best.
7+ years of progressive IT experience in information management and business-related processes, with at least 3 years in a manufacturing project delivery role.
Strong problem-solving skills with excellent written and verbal communications skills.
Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand and define requirements for complex programs, projects and enhancements.
