Here’s the Gist:
As a Product Engineer in the Power Die Products New Product Introduction Group, you will be responsible for Product Development from Concept through Commercialization. Products will include new technology nodes and Product Family proliferation for Wolfspeed SiC Bare Die MOSFET and Schottky devices. Product Engineering ownership for the New Product Team will ensure efficient integration and test coverage to deliver products which achieve the business goals for Yield, Quality and Reliability.
The Day-to-Day:
Drive the integration of new process technologies through collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Coordinate the qualification efforts to support automotive product releases, including
Monitor production SPC related to new products
Track new product lots through fabrication and testing
Analysis of probe data for development lots
Verification of product layout during fabrication
Understand and vet fabrication flows for new products
Represent Business unit in Process Change Review board meetings for continuous improvement and capacity expansion initiatives.
Analyze yield and reliability data to achieve cost targets and Product Definition requirements.
Establish test plans and determine production limits and guard-bands
Own disposition and decisions for NPI Fab material.
Responsible for RMA activities to ensure key risks are mitigated throughout the entire portfolio and to ensure risks are considered in the commercialization process.
Align with backend contract manufacturers for new product set up, yield monitoring, and test parametric review.
Own Safe-launch activities for new products as they are released to production. Ensure product compliance to business and yield goals.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science Engineering
Strong understanding of semiconductor device fabrication
Exceptional data analysis and problem solving.
Independent and self-driven, able to identify, confront, and resolve difficult problems.
Demonstrated ability to influence and drive cross-functional teams for product deliverables.
Preferred Qualifications:
3+ years of industry experience in process engineering, test, process integration or product engineering in the semiconductor industry.
Power Semiconductor device physics knowledge. Working knowledge of power semiconductor testing, qualification, and reliability.
Knowledge and experience of Product Qualification to Automotive standards, particularly AEC-Q101 product standards.
Master’s Degree in in Electrical, Chemical, Materials Science Engineering or closely related field
Six sigma black belt, green belt or significant Quality system training and experience
Project Management Experience
Experience in SiC development.
