Here’s the Gist:
We are seeking an experienced Manager of Equipment Engineering for our 200 mm SiC wafer fab in Marcy, NY. The primary focus of this role is to establish a best in class equipment management program that drives high availability, reduced maintenance costs, and stable equipment performance to meet the needs of production. The leader in this role will be responsible for leading a team of 24x7 manufacturing equipment engineers and technicians in the day-to-day repair and maintenance.
The Day-to-Day
Develop, manage, and support a 24x7 equipment team to repair and complete preventative maintenance on all wafer fab processing and support equipment.
Own and drive continuous improvement efforts for safety, equipment performance, and cost.
Partner with Process Engineering, R&D, IE, and Facilities to plan, purchase, facilitate, install, and sustain all semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Establish KPI’s, drive standards, develop documentation, establish training and certification programs, track tool performance improvement plans, and present technical data/reports.
Build a highly capable team and challenge the organization to drive towards best in class equipment performance, cost, and stability.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
BS in Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or Equivalent
10+ years of semiconductor equipment maintenance experience plus 5+ years as an Equipment, Process or Section Manager.
Must be a team player with an in depth understanding of deposition, etch, lithography, implant and wafer thinning equipment operation with a strong troubleshooting and hands-on background.
This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.
