Here’s the Gist:
As a senior emergency response specialist, you will play a key role in the operation and success of the emergency response program, protecting Wolfspeed’s people, property, and processes at an assigned location. This position works with colleagues from production, Environmental Health and Safety, Facilities, and external emergency response agencies to prepare for, respond to and recover from emergency incidents. You will function as an incident commander, hazardous materials technician and/or emergency medical technician during emergencies. In addition, you will coordinate the work of other emergency response specialists and serve as a site Emergency Coordinator as needed.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Safely respond to fire, medical, and hazardous materials emergencies at an assigned Wolfspeed location
  • Research, procure and inventory of new equipment
  • Recommend procedural changes and approve management of change processes
  • Lead post-incident investigations and participate in Wolfspeed quality assurance and after-action review processes

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Considerable experience managing medical, hazardous material, and/or fire emergencies
  • At least three of the following: certification as a hazardous materials technician, emergency medical technician, firefighter, and/or emergency services leadership training (fire officer or equivalent)
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues in peer work groups
