Here’s the Gist: Day Shift 6AM - 6 PM
We provide you with a high impact area of ownership that enables both you and Wolfspeed to grow; ultimately playing a significant role in our future. As a Security Officer, you will have the ability to work together with other members of the Security and Emergency Management Department in efforts to protect our people, property, and information, and support the success of our organization. Plus, take advantage of the opportunities and resources for professional growth and development.
Your Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, customers, visitors, and vendors.
- Assist our security team by performing patrols of our campuses, parking lots, and other manufacturing areas.
- Perform vehicle inspections and searches for chemical deliveries
- Perform weekly/monthly audits such as lighting surveys, perimeter checks, door and AED checks.
- Monitor surveillance and access control systems.
- Ability to Work inside and outside the property with exposure to inclement weather and unpredictable crisis situations.
- Respond to security/duress alarms, emergency codes, and other request for assistance
- Accurately record/report patrols, daily activities, and incidents.
- Assist other business units with requests for assistance (i.e. Security escorts, searches, terminations, traffic safety details.
- Any duties appointed by Wolfspeed Security Management Staff
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Must have a positive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude.
- Excellent customer service and critical thinking skills
- Ability to help management identify process improvements, manage change, and implement solutions.
- Prior experience in security operations preferred
- CPR/AED First Aid Certification preferred.
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed to support critical tool issues in a 24X7 environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Basic computer skills.
- Reliable transportation
- CPO Certification (IFPO) (Highly Preferred)
- 2 years of experience working in the security industry (Highly Preferred)
