Here’s the Gist:

As a Tool Installation Manager, you will be responsible for the management of multiple programs of tool installation ranging from single tool installations to tool installation programs including up to 150 pieces of equipment. If Wolfspeed deems it necessary for the completion of a given project, this management may involve the overseeing of an EPCM firm or an internal team made up of individuals. Part of this role will be to establish a direct hire team for ongoing tool installations and relocations, development of installation procedures and process to be followed during these installations and methodology for both cost and schedule reporting.

The Day-to-Day:

  • You will be responsible for coordinating with the Project Management Team on base build activities and EH&S team on the adherence to Wolfspeed’s corporate safety policies and culture. This shall include the communication of the importance of a safety culture and the demonstration of safety culture behaviors to the supervisors, peers and direct reports.
  • You are responsible for participating in vendor and subcontractor procurement/ selection, conflict resolution, bidding, budgeting and the development of customer relationships. Working knowledge of project controls, including information reporting, change order management, and process management are applied in day-to-day operations. Strong communication skills to all constituents and operating with a sense of urgency is a key success factor for this position.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Experience in the overall tool installation management role of semi-conductor manufacturing projects
  • Managed projects over $50M from design through tool start up and turnover.
  • Experience with contract negotiation, QA/QC program development and safety leadership.
