Here’s the Gist:


Wolfspeed is seeking a Global Semiconductor Facilities BIM Program Lead to join the Global Expansion Facilities Design Engineering team. This work from home position will travel up to 50% of the time and this role will lead the development of a Company BIM Standard and implementation the standard in Project Plan Requirements. This position will also be responsible for oversite of the BIM Model transition from Base Build to Tool Install. This position will be responsible for specification and procurement of engineered equipment, as well as development of design scope and cost estimates.

The Day-to-Day:

  • Oversee federation all discipline BIM models and perform clash detection, coordination, generate clash reports for assigned projects.
  • Lead space management and space optimization across all disciplines.
  • Setup, manage and maintain CDE.
  • Create, modify, maintain MEP BIM models from concept design to facility management models.
  • Ensure BIM 4D and 5D information are entered, updated, and maintained during project execution.
  • Ensure proper BIM execution in projects by providing technical guidance and support to partners.
  • Perform BIM acceptance/handover at project close-out to ensure BIM deliverables are fit for operations use.
  • Develop, implement, and lead creation and governance of Wolfspeed company BIM standards are executed and maintained for all projects globally.
  • Perform other BIM related duties as required by management.

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Bachelor’s Degree in CSA, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technologies, or similar degree.
  • 5+ years of prior work experience as an BIM Designer/ Project Lead.
  • Ability to produce 2D directly within the 3D authoring software.
  • Good working knowledge of BIM software (Revit, Navisworks, Tekla, Archicad, Sketchup, etc.)
  • Good working knowledge Autodesk Plant3D (preferred) and/or Aveva E3D but not essential.
  • Have experience in MEP layout and ISO drawing production or ability to understand MEP drawings.
  • Able to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • May require travelling up to 50% of the time.
