Wolfspeed Global Supplier Quality team is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Quality Management Specialist based in Malaysia. This position reports to Wolfspeed’s Director of Supplier Quality Engineering for Global Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and maintenance of our Quality Management System (QMS) specifically IATF 16949. This includes managing IATF 16949 audits, change management processes, and project management related to quality initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in quality management principles, possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct Quality QMS Audits: Perform audits of the organization's quality management system based on the IATF 16949 standard. Identify areas of non-compliance, document audit findings, and provide recommendations for improvement.
Develop and Maintain QMS Documentation: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and update QMS documentation, including policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality manuals, to ensure alignment with IATF 16949 requirements.
Change Management: Support change management initiatives by assessing the impact of proposed changes on the QMS, facilitating the implementation of changes, and monitoring their effectiveness. Ensure that changes are implemented smoothly and in compliance with relevant standards.
Project Management: Lead or participate in quality-related projects aimed at process improvement, quality objectives. Develop project plans, set objectives, NPI/NPT support, and communicate project status to stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the organization's quality management system. Work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and implement corrective and preventive actions to address non-conformities and improve overall quality performance.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Quality Management) or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years working experience in a semiconductor industry with preferable experience on TDI process.
Strong knowledge of quality management principles and standards, particularly IATF 16949.
Proven experience in conducting QMS audits and knowledge of audit methodologies.
Familiarity with change management principles and practices.
Project management skills, including project planning, execution, and monitoring.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement improvements.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Certified Lead QMS Auditor for Automotive Industry IATF 16949:2016.
Certified VDA 6.3 Auditor.
Certifications in APQP, PPAP, FMEA.
