Here’s the Gist

As an Applications Engineer in the Power Die Products (PDP) team at Wolfspeed, you will be responsible for providing timely technical solutions to global internal and external customers. You will also help customers solve problems through all phases of their product development and production lifecycle.

The Day-to-Day

  • Provide remote and on-site customer support

  • Offer pre- and post-sales technical support for Wolfspeed direct sales, FAEs, and distributors through customer presentations and product demonstrations

  • Generating documentation such as application notes and other technical documentation aimed at helping customers solve specific technical challenges

  • Understand and support customer application and usage concerns.

  • As issues arise, support product return investigations and corrective actions using 8D methodology

  • Provide feedback into new product definitions for future roadmap products in collaboration with the marketing team

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements)

  • Master’s or other advanced degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

  • Demonstrated experience with customer technical and professional interactions resulting lasting design-ins, design-wins, and/or lasting business impacts

  • Experience working in or supporting the automotive or industrial electronics industry

  • Understanding of power module design and assembly, gate drivers, module and PCB layout, EMI/EMC issues, and commonly used power electronics circuit topologies + operating modes

  • Passion for problem solving spanning many disciplines and requiring teamwork and customer advocation across an organization

  • Experience in successful technical communication with non-native speakers of the English language
