Here’s the Gist:
The Enterprise Architect will ensure that robust, scalable, secure, and adaptable solutions are in place for the most strategic business capabilities while minimizing cost and effort needed to support non-strategic business capabilities. This role provides the necessary leadership, analysis and design skills to support the development, selection, and integration of technology solutions to ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards. He or she creates deliverables for managing the organization's portfolio of "to be" and "as is" solutions — including systems (applications, processes and information), shared infrastructure services, and shared application services and components to enable and drive targeted business outcomes.
The Day-to-Day:
- Create and maintain reference architectures and standards for assigned solution area(s)
- Understands emerging technology trends and the practical application of existing, new, and emerging technologies to enable new and evolving business capabilities
- Provide guidance to project teams prior to implementation, and advise during implementation as issues arise
- Contribute to the preparation and administration of technology governance, technical and strategic roadmapping, and budget planning/management processes
- Ensure effective, efficient integration and upgrade of all systems to ensure alignment of disparate platforms in a hybrid technology (on- and off-prem) systems environment
- Monitors the current-state solution portfolio to identify deficiencies through aging of the technologies used by the application, or misalignment with business requirements.
- Consults with applications, infrastructure, security and data teams to fit systems or infrastructure to architecture. Identify when it is necessary to modify projects to accommodate the solutions architecture
- Leads solution sessions identifying key areas of risk and opportunities on projects
- Participate in software selection processes
- Participate in enterprise architecture review board
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 10+ years experience in Information Technology
- 5-7 years’ experience in software architecture and/or design
- Significant experience creating roadmaps, technology recommendations and project architectures
- Previous experience with several various technology approaches such as Cloud, REST API, OAuth, SQL Database, Microservices, EAI, DevOps, etc
- Previous experience in delivering integrations between externally hosted / cloud and on-premise applications
- In-depth understanding of one or more coding languages and best practices
- Hands-on experience with SDLC methodologies such as Agile, Lean, Waterfall, and DevOps
- Experience delivering presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Effective interpersonal skills and collaborative leadership style to include teamwork and team building ability
- Flexible in a fast-paced dynamic environment with shifting roles and responsibilities
- This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- Experience working in a semiconductor or other similar manufacturing organization preferred
- Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree
