Wolfspeed is seeking an experienced New Process & Technology Introduction (NPTI) Program Manager with database query scripting/coding experience to join our growing team in SiC Materials. This high visibility, cross-functional role seeks an enthusiastic and hands-on doer with exceptional organizational, leadership, problem solving, data management/analysis/scripting, and interpersonal skills. Responsibilities are two-fold: (1) manage, facilitate, and coordinate transfer of company-critical SiC Materials new products, technologies, and processes from R&D to Production using a well-established phase-gated NPTI approach and (2) modernize, align, and “fan out” Materials Global Operations yield reporting methods amongst multiple manufacturing locations, ensuring reporting consistency and accuracy between all sites. Successful candidates will thrive at “getting stuff done” as they contribute to and take ownership of activities across multiple departments in support of SiC Materials department revenue growth strategies.
The Day-to-Day:
Interface with multiple company functional units and technical team leaders to successfully develop, transfer, and implement new product and/or technology processes to ensure compliance to performance, operational, safety, reliability, quality, and manufacturing requirements & specifications
Modernize and align existing Materials Operations yield data reporting methods currently used at our manufacturing headquarters to multiple domestic expansion sites, ensuring data reporting methodologies and outputs are consistent and accurate
Work closely with development and manufacturing teams to establish and progress project timelines to ensure deliverables and yield entitlement goals are met
Interface with interdepartmental teams to define program development and qualification processes including reliability/test plans, design of experiments (DOE), and associated success criteria; actively participate in data and failure analysis when appropriate
Closely monitor and analyze available project statistical process control (SPC) in-line and parametric data to formulate engineering reports and action plans for review with project teams and senior management
Effectively communicate status, issues, and successes with the project team to ensure alignment and drive performance against program schedule
Assist Process and Product Engineering with creation and/or revision of appropriate documentation including process requirements, BOM, control plans, engineering changes, data sheets etc.
Provide engineering/technical direction support to project team personnel
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Qualifications)
B.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or related science discipline
Five years hands-on materials industry or related semiconductor industry experience, process/ product development, or process integration experience in a semiconductor environment; demonstrated experience with an understanding of materials and/or semiconductor wafer fabrication methods
Demonstrated experience and familiarity with database queries and statistical data analysis using JMP and Snowflake; SQL scripting, JMP scripting, Snowflake scripting, and associated coding experience
Familiarity and experience with design for manufacturability (DFM), design of experiments (DOE), and failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; high-level proficiency with standard Microsoft Office software
Self-starter, capable of progressing tasks with minimal supervision (and ability to recognize when to seek help), desire to learn, and thrives in fast-paced and dynamic environments
Strong sense of ownership, competitive urgency, and drive to produce results in a timely fashion
Highly Preferred Qualifications:
M.S. or Ph.D. in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics or related science discipline
10+ years work experience as a Product, Process, Development, or Integration Engineer in a semiconductor environment; previous NPTI experience preferred
Advanced data query scripting abilities or computer programming experience with SQL, JMP, MS Access, Snowflake (or similar database and analysis software) and associated coding experience
Strong self-motivation and project management experience
Ability to interface with people of different backgrounds and at every level of the organization
Strong track record of effective problem-solving, good engineering judgment and decision-making skills; ability to multitask effectively
