Here’s the Gist:

The Crystal Growth (CG) Equipment Maintenance Manager oversees the maintenance of production equipment. The person in this role will provide leadership in maintaining production equipment in a manner that meets company standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. The person in this role will oversee a team of technicians that repair and maintain the production and test equipment. The person in this role will establish and maintain preventive maintenance programs and procedures. The person in this role will manage training programs to ensure proper operation, preventive maintenance, and repair programs and procedures.

This posting is for an in-person appointment at our Durham, NC headquarters. The person in this role will work a 12-hour manufacturing day shift on a 2-2-3 schedule (Red Days).

The Day-to-Day:

  • Manage the installation, preventative maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment
  • Interface with the Manufacturing Operations team on supporting daily production priorities based on bottlenecks and/or operational throughput goals
  • Screen and select candidates for the Equipment team to fulfill ramp and attrition requirements
  • Manage area budget goals
  • Support and influence 5S methodology, ensuring the workplace is clean, uncluttered, safe and well organized to reduce waste and optimize productivity
  • Work closely with process engineering and production staff to improve overall quality metrics for the fab, SPC, Scrap, Rework, and cost reduction

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
  • 8-10 years of experience in manufacturing support/repair services
  • A demonstrated background of success in a management role
  • Prior semiconductor manufacturing experience is preferred
  • Must be willing to work a 12-hour manufacturing day shift on a 2-2-3 schedule
