Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed is seeking a Facilities Water Systems Coordinator to join the Facilities Operations & Maintenance Team at our new location in Siler City, NC – the world’s largest silicon carbide materials factory. This position requires you to function as the operational expert for the RO / DI and WWT systems supporting 24x7 factory operations.
The Day-to-Day:
- Serve as Wolfspeed's single point of contact for local waste-water municipality engagement for the Siler City Factory.
- Maintain WSPCOCC issued N.C. Wastewater Operator certification as stipulated in the sites Industrial Use Permit.
- Partner with operations and maintenance technicians to provide technical leadership for completion of work orders and process improvement projects.
- Partner with Water Systems Engineering System Owner(s) to align external equipment vendors and service contractors to operate and commission new systems, leading FAT and SAT activities.
- Support the Water Systems Engineer System Owner(s) in Developing design criteria, project scopes, and schedules, to define and deliver projects which improve the quality and safety of facilities water systems. Act as operational project manager for such projects.
- Manage external supplier/vendor engagement in support of ongoing operations and upkeep of RO/DI and WWT systems.
- Serve as single point of contact for the SCF Facilities Water Lab, developing and own internal sampling requirements and execution.
- Monitor RO/DI and WWT system performance, responding accordingly to ensure systems operating within compliance.
- Train Operations personnel on RO/DI and WWT systems.
- Implement and sustain standard organizational practices and adhere to 5S practices.
- Proficiency with computers and software to include Microsoft Office suite of products and SCADA.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- High School Diploma, two-year technical degree / certification or equivalent military experience preferred. Valid Driver's license required.
- 10+ years of progressive responsibility and related experience on industrial and/or municipal water / waste-water systems.
- WPCSOCC issued N.C. Wastewater Operator certification or meets qualification requirements of the N.C. reciprocal certification.
- Requires the ability to read facility utility equipment manuals.
- Advanced proficiency with computerized building management system / SCADA and CMMS applications.
- Document clearly (verbal and written) and ability to work from verbal and written instructions, manuals, wiring diagrams, schematics, piping and instrument diagrams, work orders and specification.
- Demonstrated experience working independently is required.
