Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed’s Global Operations team is seeking a Process Engineer with a proven track record of successful execution in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This position will work directly with the Equipment and Process Engineering teams in our Silicon Carbide (SiC) Global Operations manufacturing team located at the Corporate Headquarters in Durham, NC.
The Day-to-Day:
- Work with Operations team to resolve daily priorities as needed to support manufacturing
- Drive project initiatives forward in support of process safety, quality, throughput, and low cost
- Own the Grinding and Surface Finishing processes of Silicon Carbide (SiC) wafers
- Continuous improvement across many new and existing platforms and processes
- Monitor and respond to all OOC conditions on multiple product lines and toolsets
- Optimize preventative maintenance procedures
- Document best known methods across areas of ownership
- Create and maintain manufacturing documents and procedures as necessary
- Facilitate and oversee the install of new manufacturing equipment.
- Maintain schedule to meet overall qualifications and project goals
- Sustaining support, troubleshooting, equipment acceptance and resolving technical issues that may arise in day to day manufacturing
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- BS Degree in Engineering with either Process Engineering, internship, Co-op, or industry experience
- Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed to support critical tool issues in a manufacturing environment,
- Equipment and process troubleshooting skills, along with the ability to rapidly learn new processes and toolsets
- Ability to identify process improvements, manage change, and implement solutions
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must have a positive, professional, energetic, can-do attitude
- Understanding and experience with Statistical Process Control
- Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identify manufacturing improvements, manage change, and implement solutions
