Taiwan Sales Director:
The Taiwan Sales Director will lead sales strategy for our key account and customers in Taiwan. A successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to lead the Sales team to meet or exceed or business targets while enhancing culture in the region that allows our team to continue to thrive at Wolfspeed. This person will be responsible for solidifying Wolfspeed’s position as the preferred partner for our semiconductor portfolio of Power (SiC) across the Taiwan region. This is a critical role with significant contribution towards the Wolfspeed’s strategic plan. This role will report directly to the Vice President of Sales for APTIK (Asia Pacific, Taiwan, India, and Korea)
The Day-to-Day
- Inspire internal and external teams to achieve breakthrough growth for Wolfspeed
- Meet or exceed assigned business objectives for Taiwan
- Gain a solid understanding of customer business initiatives, challenges and industry trends to identify ways for customers to increase their competitive advantage using Wolfspeed
- Develop and articulate winning strategies for Taiwan and for key account
- Contribute to the 1 and 5 year strategic plan
- Understand and prioritize account opportunities to drive maximum ROI
- Mobilize and coordinate internal resources efficiently to support all the pre-sales and post-sales support requirements of a project
- Close deals: successfully transform design ins to design wins to revenue and accurately forecast revenue outlook
- Establish productive, professional relationships with key stakeholders across the region from engineering to the C-suite
- Ensure the Sales team process & manage the development of the accounts in line with their respective business plans (annual and quarterly targets)
- Develop business cases for new opportunities, coordinating & leveraging functional and technical peers to secure and close
- Assess product positioning and recommend changes needed to surpass competitors
- Occasional travel out of Taiwan is needed
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- Minimum of a B.S. degree in in Engineering, Management, or Marketing
- 10 years in Technical Sales with time in management positions
- Excellent selling, negotiation, and closing skills
- Strong communication (listening, verbal and written) skills with an emphasis on technical presentation skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel
- Excellent organization, planning, follow-up and time management skills
- Ability to successfully transitions opportunities through the sales process (New Opp to Design Win)
- Highly collaborative within a strong team environment with the ability to excel in dynamic situations
- Experience collaborating within and across sales teams to increase penetration into key accounts
- Ability to travel in the assigned region as often as needed to ensure success
