We are seeking a Product Line Manager (PLM) to drive the growth and profitability of our Automotive Silicon Carbide (SiC) product portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of business strategy, technology innovation, and customer engagement—owning the full lifecycle of SiC products from roadmap definition to market execution. The PLM will partner cross-functionally with R&D, operations, sales, and application engineering to deliver differentiated solutions into the rapidly expanding electric vehicle (EV) traction inverter and power electronics markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Portfolio Ownership: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of SiC MOSFETs, diodes, and module offerings targeted at automotive applications, with direct accountability for revenue, margin, and market share.
- Roadmap Development: Define and maintain the multi-year product roadmap aligned with automotive OEM requirements, electrification trends, and competitive benchmarks.
- Customer Engagement: Partner with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs to capture VOC (Voice of Customer), secure design-ins, and ensure alignment with AEC-Q101 qualification standards.
- Business Performance: Drive P&L performance through pricing strategy, volume forecasting, and lifecycle cost optimization.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate with engineering on NPI (New Product Introduction), with operations on supply assurance and capacity planning, and with sales/FAE teams on go-to-market execution.
- Market Intelligence: Track competitor moves, benchmark SiC device performance (Rds_on, avalanche ruggedness, FIT rates, etc.), and anticipate disruptive technologies (e.g., Gen4/Gen5 SiC, module packaging trends).
- Strategic Partnerships: Support ecosystem collaborations, JDPs, and co-development programs with leading automotive players.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in product management, product marketing, or technical sales within power semiconductors, with at least 3 years in SiC or automotive applications.
- Strong understanding of EV traction inverters, OBC, DC-DC, and high-voltage power module requirements.
- Proven track record in managing P&L, setting product strategy, and delivering revenue growth.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and executive-level presentation skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment.
