We are looking for a Strategic Business Development Manager to accelerate growth in our Automotive Silicon Carbide (SiC) business. This role will be a critical driver of our go-to-market strategy—identifying opportunities, forging partnerships, and securing long-term design-ins with Tier-1s and global OEMs. The ideal candidate combines a strong technical understanding of power semiconductors with a commercial mindset and proven track record of building high-value customer and ecosystem relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities in EV traction inverter, OBC, and DC-DC converter applications within global automotive markets.
- Customer Partnerships: Build executive-level relationships with leading OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and ecosystem partners to secure long-term design wins and strategic agreements.
- Strategic Growth Initiatives: Drive joint development programs, co-innovation projects, and technology partnerships to expand our SiC market presence.
- Deal Structuring & Negotiation: Lead strategic contracts, licensing, and partnership negotiations—balancing revenue growth, risk mitigation, and long-term scalability.
- Voice of Customer (VOC): Act as the external-facing advocate to ensure customer needs are reflected in product and roadmap planning.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Work closely with product line, sales, and engineering teams to align growth initiatives with technical capabilities and operational execution.
- Market Intelligence: Monitor competitor activities, regulatory trends, and regional EV adoption to shape business development strategy.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or related technical field; MBA preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or sales within semiconductors, automotive, or EV-related sectors.
- Good understanding of power electronics and wide-bandgap (SiC/GaN) technologies; ability to communicate technical value propositions to executive and engineering audiences.
- Strong track record in securing strategic deals, JDPs, or long-term supply agreements with global automotive customers.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and executive relationship-building skills.
- Willingness to travel globally (30–50%) to engage with customers and ecosystem partners.
