Here’s the Gist:
The Manager, Security Systems & Technology (Physical Security) is a member of the Global Protection team reporting to the Global Security Director. This role supports all matters involving the Global Protection department on an as-needed basis.
The Day-to-Day:
- Manage and lead the Security Systems & Technology team responsible for enterprise physical access control (PACS), video surveillance (CCTV/VMS) and related security technologies across all Wolfspeed facilities.
- Oversee daily operations and system health ensuring system performance and compliance with security standards, policies and regulations while also identifying trends, gaps, or opportunities for automation or improvement.
- Coach, mentor and develop team members through regular check-ins, performance feedback, training and skills development.
- Manage vendor relationships, including system integrators, manufacturers, and service providers; oversee contracts, service-level agreements and performance metrics.
- Partner with cross functional teams to align physical security systems with business needs and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure proper monitoring, retention, and retrieval of data from security systems to support investigations, audits, and legal or HR requests while ensuring systems comply with applicable laws, privacy requirements, and internal policies.
- Serve as escalation point for system outages, security incidents, and complex technical issues, coordinating response with internal teams and external vendors.
- Plan and manage project timelines, budgets and resource allocation for security technology initiatives and lifecycle replacements.
- Stay current on emerging physical security technologies, industry best practices and threat trends, recommend and implement enhancements as appropriate.
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
- 5+ years managing an enterprise physical security function
- Strong technical proficiency in security system software/hardware: Access control systems, CCTV/VMS and associated networking, physical barriers including doors, locks, gates and turnstiles.
- Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
- Experienced with Microsoft 365 environment - Office, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Ability to effectively engage with all stakeholders and communicate technical information to non-technical audiences.
- Flexibility to travel up to 10% annually, including international.
Desired Skills / Achievements:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field; Security Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, Criminal Justice.
- Security industry certification such as CPP or PSP.
- Advanced understanding of Microsoft 365 environment.
- Familiar in API development/integration, working with RESTful APIs and other API protocols.
- Strong skills in Microsoft SQL server, including ability to write complex queries, perform data analysis, and troubleshoot database issues.
- Experience working in a regulated environment.
