Here’s the Gist:
Wolfspeed is seeking an environmental, health, and safety, (EHS) Technician to support EHS programs at the North Carolina facilities.
The Day-to-Day:
Maintain waste cages and tanks in full compliance with applicable regulations to be inspection ready every day.
Obtain and maintain working knowledge of commonly generated waste streams and corresponding outbound waste profiles.
Obtain necessary information to assist Environmental Manager or Engineer(s) in identifying waste, waste generating process from internal generators then either assign to existing outbound waste profile or work with them to complete and submit new outbound profile.
Accurately enter shipment information to applicable spreadsheet or database in timely manner.
Perform sampling or observations related to Industrial Hygiene and/or Safety programs and assist in job hazard analysis (JHAs)
Safely conduct all activities according procedures and using prescribed PPE
Perform additional duties and tasks as assigned
This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):
3-years hazardous materials or waste experience either at LQG, TSDF, or in Field Services (ie: chemical cleanup, emergency services, HAZMAT responders, or similar) capacity.
Be willing and able to work outside for majority of shift
Must be able to drag, lift, and maneuver 50lbs drums, must be able to operate and become forklift certified
Must be detailed oriented with a high level of both oral and written communication skills
Possess a valid US drivers license
DOT Hazardous Materials Basics and RCRA Training are preferred certifications
Must possess a high school diploma, GED, or equivalant
