The EMS (Emergency Medical Services) Project Coordinator oversees and supports the planning, coordination and implementation of a grant funded EMS training program. Ensures that training programs meet state and national standards, align with organizational goals and contribute to the overall professional development of EMS Staff and community members. Works under the direction of the EMS Education Coordinator and Senior Director of Nursing, Critical Care and Nursing Operations.

Core Job Responsibilities

Work with instructors to schedule classes for recertification.
Deliver equipment to training locations.
Ensure proper classroom set up.
Ensure set up of AV/IT equipment for virtual trainings.
Transport AV/IT and training equipment to trainings.
Collect data collection for grant deliverables and training records
Prepare reports of grant success to for submission to the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration.
Collaborate on grant coordination and management with the EMS Education Coordinator.
Keeps supervisors informed of activities, concerns and progress towards goals.
Attend all required grant meetings and trainings.
Perform related duties as assigned.

Education/Experience Requirements

REQUIRED:

High school diploma required,
Three to Five years of experience in the EMS (emergency medical services) profession.
Knowledge of education regulations in New York State Codes, Rules and Regulations Part 800.
Ability to collect and examine data effectively.
Ability to use, maintain and set up IT and AV equipment.
Proficient computer skills including MS Office.
Ability to work in a team environment, effective time management skills, strong interpersonal skills and professional demeanor.
Highly motived and organized.
Ability to travel to training or meeting sites for meetings and trainings in adverse weather conditions.

Licensure/Certification Requirements

REQUIRED:

New York State Paramedic Certification,
New York State Bureau of EMS Certified Instructor Coordinator.
