Job Summary
The Medical Education Assistant is accountable for students in the Medical Education program. Works under the supervision of the Manager of Medical Education or designee.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Create the Medical Students, Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant students' daily educational activity schedules (creating the master schedule, call schedule, clinic schedule, rotation schedule, didactic schedule, home visits, etc)
- Create and coordinate the students didactic schedule
- Enter data, audit and run reports in the residency management suite software
- Compile performance reports for presentation to the Designated Institutional Official
- Track all aspects of on-boarding, orientation and off-boarding of students. Resolve process concerns.
- Identify quality improvement opportunities for the onboarding and orientation process.
- Coordinate all aspects of the student housing operations and ensure that the student housing is maintained, cleaned and operational.
- Coordinate contacts, interviews, and prepare documentation for site visits.
- Implement the program's quality improvement plan and develop action plans. Ensure that the clinical experience and education received accurately reflects program aims, goals, objectives and strategies.
- Collaborate with the Senior Program Coordinator with developing new policies.
- Perform other duties as required.
Education/Experience Requirements
REQUIRED:
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience in scheduling in a health care environment.
